Jay Madigan founded Madigan Projects, LLC in 2007 following four years in Project Management roles with DR Horton and The I’On Group, both based out of Mount Pleasant.  Madigan Projects specializes in building the highest quality new custom homes in the Charleston area and has been fortunate enough to build beautiful new homes from Sullivan’s Island to Stono Ferry, and everywhere in between, mostly East of the Cooper. 

 

It may sound cliché, but it is our belief that nothing is more important than for our clients to feel assured throughout the project that the large investment they have entrusted in Madigan Projects will be handled with their best interest in mind on each and every decision that is made.  More than anything else, we feel that full disclosure on every aspect of the project is the key to developing and retaining this level of trust.  We have never had a project without a minor bump in the road, but through honest communication with our clients and ownership of our mistakes, Madigan Projects continues to grow our reputation as one Charleston’s truly thoughtful builders.

I grew up in Orlando, FL and enrolled at Clemson University as a freshman in 1995.  Following a great four year experience, I graduated in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing.  Unsure of the direction I wanted to go with regard to my career, I moved back to Orlando and joined the corporate world, auditing operations and acquisitions for a growing nationwide distributor.  After gaining some great experience but missing the heck out of South Carolina, I was finally able to make my way to Charleston in 2002 where I found that building homes in the Lowcountry was a perfect fit for me. 

Charleston has been great to me so far with early success for Madigan Projects, making many new friends, getting reacquainted with college friends, and most importantly meeting my incredible wife, Natalie.  We were married at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in February of 2007 and received an awesome blessing on September 17th, 2009 with the birth of our beautiful daughter, Eliza. 

 

I enjoy most everything in life, starting with the time I get to spend with Natalie and my new little girl.  I also enjoy playing golf, basketball, surfing, and exercising.
